[Spiritus sancti gratia...]

[The grace of the Holy Ghost...]

V: Deus in adiutorium meum intende.

V: Incline unto my aid O God.

R: Domine ad adiuvandum me festina.

R: O Lord make haste to help me.

Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper: et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. Alleluia.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.
Even as it was in the beginning, and now, and ever: and world without end. Amen. Alleluia.

A Septuagesima usque ad Pascha loco Alleluia, dicitur: Laus tibi Domine rex aeternae gloriae.

From Septuagesima unto Easter instead of Alleluia, is said: Praise be unto thee O Lord King of eternal glory.

Hymnus:
Dextrae Dei digitus, virtus spiritalis,
Nos defendat, eruat ab omnibus malis.
Ut nobis non noceat daemon infernalis:
Protegat, et nutriat, foveat sub alis.

Hymn:
The finger of God's right hand, the ghostly virtue still,
Us defend, and set us free from every kind of ill:
To the end the hellish ghost do us no hurtful deed:
Under his wings he us keep, and there us nurse and feed.

Ant: Veni sancte spiritus, reple tuorum corda fidelium: et tui amoris in eis ignem accende.

Ant: Come O Holy Ghost, replenish the hearts of thy faithful: and kindle in them the fire of thy love.

V: Emitte spiritum tuum, et creabuntur.

V: Send forth thy spirit, and they shall be created.

R: Et renovabis faciem terrae.

R: And thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Oratio:

Prayer:
We beseech thee O Lord, that the virtue of the Holy Spirit may be present unto us: the which may mildly both purge our hearts, and also defend us from all adversities, through our Lord Jesus Christ thy Son: Who liveth and reigneth, God, with thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end.

R: Amen.

R: Amen.
